Shortly after arriving, Kael meets Bryce, a young man with pain in his eyes that she immediately connects to. But while her heart is fluttering, he's running away as if she has poison shooting from her veins. Can Kael get past Bryce's reserve to discover why he's so afraid of her? • Saving Sabrina

    Tonya Schwartz

    language (, Feb. 3, 2012)
Fifteen year old Sabrina wishes she could be surprised when her mother basically dumps her on a complete stranger’s doorstep but after a lifetime of neglect and blatant indifference, it’s just not that much of a shock. What does surprise her, though, is that the stranger standing before her is her grandmother. Sabrina is baffled by the strange new world she finds herself immersed in. Between crazy pranks from the youngest son of her grandmothers employer, horseback riding with Wyatt, girl bonding with Megan and quiet time spent getting to know her grandmother; Sabrina begins to feel those first faint stirrings of what it’s like to be a part of a real family and knows she’ll never want to leave. Lucky for her, her mother isn’t likely to return…or so she thinks. When an unexpected tragedy strikes, Sabrina finds herself facing the very real possibility of being forced to return to the woman that had given her life…and little else. Will the family she'd only just found be able to offer her the sanctuary she craves or will she be forced to return to the life she'd already left behind.
  • My Affinity

    Tonya Schwartz

    language (, Feb. 4, 2012)
*****My life has never been ordinary. A practicing witch practically from the day I was born, magic has been an important part of my existence…my whole life. Don’t get me wrong. I love everything there is about magic but there’s one little problem. Because of one teeny tiny CATASTROPHIC mistake I made when I was, like, five, I’ve been forced to live my life in relative seclusion, just me and my mom in our little cabin in the woods. Home schooled and with a mother skilled in herbal medicines, there’s never really been much cause for me to venture from the cozy confines of our home.Until now… My mom…in her infinite wisdom (Yeah, right!)…has made the completely mystifying decision to…drum roll please…enroll me in WAY too public high school. I begged. I pleaded. I even tried tears and outright yelling but she’s refused to budge. So, in less time than it takes to properly learn a spell, I’ve found myself being marched from my happy home and straight into the bowels of Hell…otherwise known as High School.High school, it turns out, is nothing like I expected. It’s worse! I couldn’t say how I managed it but, within an hour of arriving at Jasper High, most of my fellow classmates are treating me at best like I have bubonic plague, at worse like I shoved a little old lady in front of a school bus. With a locker that won’t open, way too many hallways to get lost in and my absolute terror that I’ll slip up and accidentally do magic in front of a bunch of strangers, school is…to put it mildly…a challenge. And, to make matters worse, I meet Tragan and Garrett. Tragan is openly hostile while Garrett comes on so strong that I want nothing more than to crawl under the nearest desk and hide until the last bell tolls. I might have been able to handle that if it weren’t for the very powerful and very different reactions I have to each of the boys. Garrett just plain makes me nervous and Tragan…Tragan makes me feel a whole lot of things I don’t even know how to describe. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
